Die Leistung wurde von einem von vier Rotationsmotoren im Bereich von 75 bis 112 kW (100 bis 150 PS) geliefert, und die Konzentration der Hauptmassen (Motor, Treibstoff, Bewaffnung und Pilot) um den Schwerpunkt im vorderen Rumpfteil verlieh dem Jagdflugzeug eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Wendigkeit, obwohl die Kurveneigenschaften so schwierig waren, dass sie allen au\u00dfer erfahrenen Piloten erhebliche Probleme bei der Handhabung bereiteten.
