H\u00fcgel 104, nord\u00f6stlich von Moreuil. RE 2; Engl\u00e4nder. Gegen 1230 Uhr griff ich oberhalb des Waldes von Moreuil einen englischen RE in 800 m H\u00f6he direkt unter den Wolken an. Da der Gegner mich erst sehr sp\u00e4t sah, gelang es mir, mich ihm bis auf 50 Meter zu n\u00e4hern. Aus zehn Metern Entfernung schoss ich auf ihn, bis er zu brennen begann. Als die Flammen herausschossen, war ich nur noch f\u00fcnf Meter von ihm entfernt. Ich konnte sehen, wie sich der Beobachter und der Pilot aus dem Flugzeug lehnten, um dem Feuer zu entgehen. Sie st\u00fcrzte unkontrolliert auf den Boden, wo sie explodierte und zu Asche verbrannte.
