Die E.I (nur wenige Exemplare gebaut) war untermotorisiert und wurde von der E.II mit gr\u00f6\u00dferer Leistung (23 Exemplare gebaut) und dann von der endg\u00fcltigen E.III (zwischen 120 und 150 Exemplare gebaut) mit dem gleichen Motor, aber einer Reihe von Detailverbesserungen abgel\u00f6st. Dies war das Flugzeug der \u201eFokker-Plage\u201d von 1915\/16, in der diese armen Flugzeuge aufgrund ihrer Bewaffnung und der F\u00e4higkeiten ihrer Piloten die Oberhand behielten.
