Forces a\u00e9riennes, 6e arm\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Objet : Rupture de l&rsquo;aile de l&rsquo;Albatros D.III 2-23-16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le 8 avril 1917, l&rsquo;appareil du sergent Festner a subi une rupture de l&rsquo;aile inf\u00e9rieure gauche \u00e0 une altitude de 13 000 pieds sans contrainte pr\u00e9alable. Bien que l&rsquo;aile ait \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9chiquet\u00e9e et ait perdu plus d&rsquo;un tiers de sa surface, le sergent Festner soumet un rapport d\u00e9taill\u00e9 sur les circonstances de l&rsquo;accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examen technique : de la deuxi\u00e8me nervure jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;entretoise en V, la surface inf\u00e9rieure \u00e9tait repli\u00e9e vers le haut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cause : rupture des nervures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Localisation de la rupture : enti\u00e8rement pr\u00e8s de la partie avant de l&rsquo;aile, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;usine avait appliqu\u00e9 des renforts sp\u00e9ciaux pour soutenir les nervures. Le rev\u00eatement en tissu des ailes a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9chir\u00e9 en morceaux par le courant d&rsquo;air passant \u00e0 travers les parties cass\u00e9es. L&rsquo;aile nue a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 soumise \u00e0 une forte tension \u00e0 l&rsquo;avant par le vent, ce qui l&rsquo;a fait se courber vers l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re, puis se d\u00e9placer \u00e0 nouveau vers l&rsquo;avant. Cela a bien s\u00fbr repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une tension trop importante pour le montant en V.
